Ecobuild 2013
Ecobuid at the ExCel in London was the world’s biggest sustainability event for the built environment. We’re taking the opportunity to profile a few of the eco-articles on Designing Buildings Wiki.
We were hoping to make it an A-Z, but don’t seem to have anything beginning with ‘A’, so B-Z will have to do.

“Sustainability in building developments must be considered from the very earliest stages. Once a decision has been made to build a new building, as opposed to say, changing working practices or refurbishing an existing building, a significant commitment to consume resources has already been made. Designers and contractors may be able to help limit consumption, but they cannot change the overall commitment. This consumption can be even more significant if the client decides to relocate, with the impact this has for their staff, maybe meaning they have to move house or change travel plans.
